I have been inundated by new GDI members who want to Know how to promote their GDI business.

So many in fact that I can not fairly answer all your questions. Therefore I will tackle the most common ones here, where everyone can come and read them online.

The most common request goes something like this.

Dear Kitty,

I really want to add my site to the directory but I have not set up my .WS site yet. What do you suggest that I put on my site? My domain name is XXX.WS. I have never built a site before can you help me?

Also have you got any suggestions on how I can promote my http://www.wesite.ws/XXX

 
It is interesting to note here that 95% of the people in GDI  who responded to the trial invite do not set up their own sites. This figure is very close to the 97% failure rate of people involved in affiliate programs touted all over the web.

If ever there was an affiliate program that has the potential to overcome this shocking failure rate it is GDI. For the simple reason that every GDI affiliate has a domain name and a website at their disposal when they join.

I emphasize the statement below:

To be successful in Online Marketing or Internet Marketing You must have YOUR OWN WEB SITE.

I have seen programs that state that you do not have to have your own website to succeed in Internet Marketing. The strange thing is that I am reading that information on a webpage!

I suggest you read all of this page and the Tutorial on how to build your website with the .WS SiteBuilder.

You do not need your own website for Direct Marketing. 
There are many people involved in Direct Marketing on the Internet. 
Direct Marketing on the Internet involves recruiting people via email, posting adds in ezines , offline newspapers, distributing pamphlets, videos, DVD's, CD's, Telemarketing or word of mouth;
to go to a Marketing Website provided for you by the Affiliate Company.

You do need Your Own website for Internet Marketing also called Online Marketing.
In Online Marketing you need to establish a visible presence on the Internet via Your Own website.

In Online Marketing you do not recruit people, instead people seek you out. People look for you by placing a search term in their browser bar or via their favorite search engine.

The search engines job is to bring the most relevant information to the person searching for that information. 
The search engines accomplish this task with lightening speed by means of a "Spider" that continuously "crawls" the web [a collection of all the websites.] 
The website that  the search engine finds that matches the searchers request most precisely gets presented to the viewer in the 1st position on a page that presents the top ten qualifying sites.

You can choose to build your downlines in GDI  by either Direct Marketing, Internet Marketing or both.

If you want to build your downlines using Direct Marketing exclusively GDI has provided all the tools necessary to do so. 

You should go to your back office and carefully study all the materials made available to you there and follow GDI's guidelines. Their system works and there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Only continue to read on if you are interested in building Your Own Online Business and building your downlines by using  Internet Marketing exclusively or a combination of Internet Marketing and Direct Marketing.

What should you put on your sites

Here are some guidelines on setting up your .WS websites.

For those of you who are focused on promoting GDI on your .WS site;

There are a couple of things you should be aware of before you plan your site content.

Firstly we think of the "GDI" keyword to stand for "Global Domains International"

Webopedia the #1 online encyclopedia dedicated to computer technology has a completely different definition:

GDI

Short for Graphical Device Interface, a Windows standard for representing graphical objects and transmitting them to output devices, such as monitors and printers

If you have a text add and link to http://website.ws/YOURName  on a website within the top 10 position in any major search engine then you will get tons of free traffic to your affiliate webpage provided by the GDI company.

However if you build a website promoting GDI or .WS and it was in position 30 [very difficult as there are so many people building sites on this topic] it is highly unlikely that anyone will ever visit your site.

Keep In mind that if you create a high traffic site on any topic:

You can successfully promote anything you want from that site including GDI. Your site will also make an additional income from Google adsense. All you need to do is open a free Google account & load a snippet of code [supplied by Google] to your pages. You will get paid every time a visitor clicks on one of these adds.

Therefore this is what I suggest you do.

Sit back and think for a while, ask yourself:

"WHAT AM I REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT IN MY LIFE"

I have no way of knowing your answer. It could be Music, Travel, Football, Gambling, Cats, Horses, Dogs, Sex, Money, Art, Star trek  Gardening, Books, Watching TV, Science, Shells, Diamonds, Cars - in other words anything at all that you really love to dabble in.

Be really honest with yourself here, pick the topic you love, not the topic you think will be popular with other people.

Just as an example let's assume you picked the topic "HORSES"

Let's narrow that down to what type of horses you are really passionate about, is it; Thoroughbreds, Arabs, Quarter Horses etc, are you passionate about trail riding, jumping, dressage, racing, breeding etc. Or maybe you are passionate about horses in general?

Let's assume your answer was "Breeding Thoroughbred Race Horses".

Next ask yourself this question; If someone was searching the internet about breeding thoroughbred race horses would I have any useful information I could give them? If the answer is yes then this should be the topic of your.ws website. If the answer is no then go and do enough research on the topic to provide the useful information and then build your .ws website. As long as you are really passionate about the topic none of this will seem like work to you. After all you are researching something that you are passionately interested in yourself. This is not work, it is fun.

Always keep the searcher in mind. Ask yourself at all times am I providing the information that the searcher is looking for. Is the information well organized and easy to find on my website?

Categorize your material in clearly defined sections like;

SELECTION OF THE BROODMARE

Then write extensively on the subject of the selection of a broodmare. The more information you can place here the better. Make sure you are giving real information not filler. Perhaps you can even  recommend where to buy this mare. Let the people that you are recommending know that you are advertising them  on your page. Perhaps they will offer you some compensation for your recommendation. If you include  a link here to the recommended source, ONLY MAKE IT A LIVE LINK IF THEY AGREE TO LINK BACK TO YOU. Your site will get penalized if you link out without a backlink [this is why KIMBRO.NET insists on you linking to us before we link to you via the KIMBRO.NET>.WS DIRECTORY].

YOUR NEXT HEADING AND SO ON

You do not have to input all your information at once. Building your website is an ongoing project. Devote a section on each page to tell people about your involvement with the GDI business explain that the site you have built is hosted by GDI and that the total cost of your hosting and domain name is only $10 per month. Place a link to your "http://www.website.ws/yourname" site somewhere within your text and tell people if they want a website like yours to go to that link where they can get their own website, hosting and domain name. Also place a banner advertising Your GDI website.ws on every page.

Make sure that you include a disclosure document at the end of each page pertinent to the laws in your own country - you can source this information on the internet. You should also secure your work by including a copyright statement at the end of every page.

Linking to KIMBRO.NET  will help you to get your website indexed in Google faster.

Do not submit your sites to Google it is a mistake many of us have made including myself. The topic of Search Engine Optimization is far too long to cover here. Go back to STEP3 LEARN ABOUT SEO at the top of this page.

For the technical aspects of building your websites:

Your Domain Name and Web hosting at GDI includes the use of their site builder. This is a very user friendly HTML editor. Follow the instructions and play around with it before you attempt to build your site seriously. Don't be frightened of experimenting, you can't do any damage. You can delete as many times as you like if you make mistakes. Try out the different templates play around and check your results every time you change anything or try anything new. This way you will quickly learn all of the features available for you to use.

Avoid using too many pictures as the search engine spiders don't take pictures into consideration whilst grading your site for useful information. Also pictures will slow down your pages and the faster your pages load the better.

Remember that the fanciest site is no good to anyone if they can't be found. You will only be found if the search engines deem your site worthy based on the quality of the information on your site.

To access your site builder, log into your GDI back office, click on your domain URL which is in the left navigation bar near the bottom of the page. Select Site Builder as your choice for building your site and follow instructions from there.

WARNING: Site building is so much fun it can become addictive!
