Addressing the #1 Problem For Online Income Seekers Working From Home.

I have seen programs that state that you do not have to have your own website to succeed in Internet Marketing. The strange thing is that I am reading this information on a web page!

Contrary to what you might read elsewhere You Must Have Your Own Website to successfully run your Own Business Online. In addition your website must be highly visible in cyberspace. Good location for your Internet Business is just as important in cyberspace as it is in the Off Line world.

Unfortunately there is so much Hype on the Internet that most people have a false expectation of making money overnight by joining an Online business program.

Sure there are hope inspiring stories that will have you thinking that by joining program X before midnight tonight and doing XYZ [looks simple enough], all their money worries will be over by next month.

Please if your only motivation to join any program is a desperate money situation then don't be fooled by the carrots dangled in front of your nose on your computer screen.

To expect to make $30,000 per month as X amount of people are making; is akin to counting on winning the lottery next month because you know that X amount of people won last month.

There really is a fortune to be made on the Internet. However if you have had no prior experience in Internet or Direct Marketing it is highly unlikely that you will make much money until you have gained the skills necessary to do so.

If you have a real desire to work from the comfort of your own home via your computer, like I did, then go for it. Forget about the money side, just knuckle down and build a solid base for your OWN Business, then the money will follow.

The Internet highway has millions of roads running in millions of different directions I'm confident that there is a suitable road out there for everyone, no matter what their interest, educational level or background.

If you are prepared to Learn to drive on the back roads for a while, You should have a very pleasant cruise down the super highway in the not too distant future.

	LET'S STOP AND REFLECT FOR A WHILE. Do the following processes look familiar to you? Have you joined make money Online programs that tell you to market their programs by doing all or some of the processes described below?
Announce: Tell All Your Friends, family, co-workers & everyone you meet. About your beaut new business and/or product XYZ
	Purchase Leads:Targeted double opt-in leads to build your list. Usual cost around $1 each.
EMAIL: Everybody but don't spam![Did you know that sending emails to people on topics other than what they signed up for is considered spam even if you bought these leads as double opt-ins?]
	DISTRIBUTE: Flyers & Business Cards.. PLACE ADDS IN: Your Local Paper, Magazines, Ezines, FFA's, etc. etc. Google Yahoo
Multiply your own efforts by recruiting lots and lots of people.
	SHOW: ALL THESE PEOPLE HOW TO DO ALL OF THE ABOVE RESULT = $$$$$'s

The above is a basic example of a tried and true system used for years in
Off-line Direct Marketing, adapted to the Internet.
It works and has made lot's of $$$'s for lots of people.
If this system appeals to you then there is no reason to
re - invent the wheel.

Now let's look at Internet Marketing as opposed to Direct Marketing Online.

INTERNET MARKETING

Anna has been waiting in line for a job interview. She figured it would be at least another hour before the applicants ahead of her would be processed. There are so many applicants that Anna feels her chances of getting this job are pretty slim.

The competition in New York for her line of work is fierce. As a fashion designer, Anna has toyed with the idea of working from home and selling her designs over the Internet.

Now with an hours wait ahead of her she decides to do a bit of research on her computer on how to start a home business Online.

She types her query into the search bar at Yahoo. "How To Start A Home Business Online"

The first result she finds is Amazon.com advertising a book on "how to start a home business Online".

Anna does not want to buy a book and sees that the next result is a site called KIMBRO.NET with the title "How To Start A Home Business Online".
She enters the site and selects the Kimbro's Study page.

Whilst Anna is reading she notices three advertisements referring to how to start a home business in New York.

Being from New York she feels this information would be pertinent to her and clicks on the first add.

The site she comes to is not to her liking so she hits the back button and lands back at the Kimbro site.

Now she clicks on the second and third add that make reference to "How To Start A Home Business In New York".

Whilst reading the material on the third site, she is summoned for her interview. Anna hurriedly closes her computer without bookmarking any pages and enters the interview room.

The interviewer is pleased with her presentation and she lands the job. Anna leaves the office with a spring in her step and a smile on her face, all thoughts of starting a home business Online have been forgotten because her needs have been fulfilled.

The same evening I am sitting in my home office in Australia with a smile on my face.

Even though Anna didn't buy anything from our site and will probably never return to the Kimbro site we got paid $'s from Google adsense for her visit and there were 90 other visitors on the same page as Anna, at the same time as Anna, doing much the same thing as Anna, one of those visitors also joined GDI another joined our membership site.and a few subscribed to our free newsletter.

So here is the big Question. What would you rather do?

In the first example: "Off- line Direct Marketing adapted to the Internet" you are looking for people to promote to all the time. As soon as you stop motivating people, actively chase people, try and recruit everyone you meet, advertise and continually email market everyone, to come take a look at your offer - your income stops!

In the second example:" Internet Marketing " you spend your efforts on developing and promoting your own optimized, monetized, website. In other words; Your Own Online Business.

Visitors come to you via the search engines, when they type a query into their browser search bar.

These visitors convert into customers much more readily because THEY found what they were looking for. Even if they didn't find exactly what they were looking for on your site, you get paid as they continue to search via the ads on your site.

If you prefer example1 you are not really interested in starting a home business Online [the topic of this website] - rather you are looking for an MLM business online.
There are thousands of them on the Internet just do a search for "MLM" on Google.
